This collection of Czech puppet theatres documents a unique Czech phenomenon called Family Puppet Theatres. It is a series of lithographically printed puppet theatres and stage sets, complete with puppets from the first half of the 20th century. These productions were intended for sale to families, schools and amateur puppetry groups

The collection consists of about twenty theatres, more than 300 puppets, set designs by more than 30 Czech painters and set designers of the period, as well as furniture, props and graphic material.
This exhibition can be adapted to different spaces. It has been held to great public acclaim in various palaces in the Czech Republic and has also been exhibited in Puebla, Mexico (90,000 visitors in 3 months) and at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing on the occasion of the celebrations of the centenary of Czech state’s independence.
